Night of Worship
Join us at The Gathering Surf City for a special Night of Worship as we come together to lift up the name of Jesus, celebrate His goodness, and turn our hearts toward Him. This will be a night of worship, prayer, and communion. No matter what season you’re walking through, come and be reminded that God is faithful, He is near, and He is worthy of all our praise. Bring your family, invite a friend, and come ready to worship and encounter God together.
Community Thanksgiving Outreach
Welcome to the Gathering's Annual Thanksgiving Community Outreach!
The goal for 2026 is to take 500 Thanksgiving lunches to people in our community just to simply love on them the way Jesus wants us to.
1 John 4:19 says, "We love because He first loved us." Each year, The Gathering tries to do that through this outreach measure, but your help is needed.

Missions Fundraiser: Blood Drive
Gathering Missions is hosting the Blood Connection Community Blood Center bus for a blood drive. The bus will be parked in front of The Gathering in the main parking lot.
Gathering Missions will receive a $10 donation for every donor that gives blood! Also, each donor will receive points that can be redeemed for a $30 eGift card - OR - donors can choose to pass that bonus onto Gathering Missions.
Scheduling your appointment ahead of time is appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome.

Though she could not have fully understood all that lay ahead, Mary responded in faith, humility, and surrender, saying, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord! Let it be to me according to Your word.” (Luke 1:38)
Her story reminds us that God has a purpose for every woman, and that saying “yes” to Him can change our lives in extraordinary ways. As we face our busy schedules, responsibilities, and uncertainties, we are invited to trust His plan, embrace His calling, and live each day with faith and purpose.

Women's Ministry Holiday Hospitality Workshop
Welcoming Others with the Love of Christ
The holidays are a beautiful opportunity to open our homes, our tables, and our hearts to others. But Christian hospitality is about more than preparing a beautiful meal or creating the perfect gathering—it is about making people feel welcomed and loved.
This interactive workshop combines biblical teaching, practical hospitality tips, recipes, and simple cooking demonstrations. Learn how to host graciously without feeling overwhelmed or trying to make everything perfect. Whether you regularly welcome people into your home or you’re simply looking for ways to become more intentional about serving others, this workshop will give you ideas and encouragement. And we'll be tasting some of those recipes.
Come discover how simple acts of welcome can become meaningful expressions of loving God, living Jesus, and walking together.

Fall Clean Up Day
Help needed for this annual clean up day. From 8:00AM-3:00PM, volunteers will deep clean all areas inside and outside the building. We will accomplish detailed landscaping and improvements around the property. Come and stay all day or for as long as you can. Many hands make light work! With enough help, we’ll finish early!

Every second Saturday, men at The Gathering are welcome to come hangout, enjoy a bacon heavy breakfast, study, and then go do something together. So, bring an appetite and a friend, neighbor, or coworker and let’s have a good time! Meet in the Fellowship Hall.
CSALT Bowling with the Pastors
If you are 55+, CSALT is for you! Gather at High Tides & Good Vibes at 11:00AM for bowling or to cheer others on as we take on the pastors. Afterwards, stay for a "buy your own" lunch and other activities.

On Friday, September 25th, we’re excited to host our 2nd annual Camp Caraway Golf Tournament Fundraiser at North Shore Country Club in Sneads Ferry, NC. Tee-off begins at 10:00 AM.
This will be a 4-man Superball/Captain’s Choice format, making it a fun and competitive event for players of all skill levels. Mulligan and Red Bomb packages will also be available for purchase to give your team an extra edge!

Gathering Women Beach Walk & Bagels
Things are cooling down. Kids are back in school. Are you ready to take a walk? On the beach? Maybe with a friend?
That is what we are going to do on Saturday, September 19. Meet in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00am. Once we are all there and ready, we'll head over to the beach for a quick walk or a leisurely stroll. The choice is yours. There may even be a game or two. When you have had enough, meander back to the Fellowship Hall to enjoy some warm, toasted bagels and cream cheese.

CSALT FUN & FELLOWSHIP
CSALT (a group for 55+) is gathering for a summer picnic themed lunch. They’ll provide the fried chicken and ask you to bring a favorite picnic side dish or dessert. Gather in the Fellowship Hall.
HYMN SING
Gather in the Worship Center from 6:00-7:30 PM where the choir will lead us in worship with hymns and choir music. There will be a special performance by the children's choir. It will be a beautiful night of fellowship.
Voyager Family Beach Night
Families, join your Voyager students (5th-12th grades) for a Family Beach Night to close out summer! Bring a snack to share and gather at 6:30PM at Beach Access #13 (behind the Surf City Fire Dept.).
MARRIAGE NIGHT
We are excited to offer a date night opportunity for couples. A night where you will receive a catered meal, hear and participate in a panel discussion on marriage, where you will also hear personal testimonies about "The 6 Pillars of Intimacy" and how to be intentional in your marriage.
There will be giveaways, a time of worship, a Q&A panel, intentional prayer time over your marriage, as well as an opportunity to purchase "The 6 Pillars of Intimacy" book and sign up for connect groups after.
Childcare will be provided.
Cost is $30 per couple.
Limited to 60 couples.
Registration closes Sunday, August 9th.
Women's Art Class
Ready to get your crafting on?
This month we will be making a reversible wooden scarecrow/snowman sign. On one side you will paint a rustic scarecrow, perfect for your harvest decorating. On the other side create your own cheerful snowman, adding some holiday joy to your winter decorations. You can make them personal by adding your very own artistic touch.
Celebrate two seasons with one adorable decoration! Whether on your front porch or inside by your fireplace, this dual-purpose décor will make you smile all season long.
The are two sessions of the class available on Saturday, August 15, from 10:00AM-Noon and from 1:00-3:00PM, in the Fellowship Hall, cost is $5, and you must register ahead of time for your time slot. Each class is limited to 20 ladies.

End of Summer Bash
Let’s end summer with a bang!
There will be a FREE community event at The Gathering Burgaw on Saturday, August 1st from 1-5pm. There will be bounce houses, games, face painting, cotton candy, and free hotdogs! Invite your neighbors, friends, family, and coworkers out to one of the biggest events of the year! We’re going to have a great big time and make one last hoorah for the end of summer!

1613 Men's Conference
The 1613 Young Men’s Conference is a FREE one-day gathering designed to challenge and equip young men to stand firm in their faith and lead with biblical conviction in every area of life. Rooted in 1 Corinthians 16:13, this conference will focus on what it means to be watchful, faithful, courageous, and strong in today’s world.
Throughout the day, speakers Adam Kord, Allen Murray, Art Sauer, Ben Horrell, Bobby Owings, and John McGough will share practical, Scripture-centered teaching on marriage, fatherhood, faithfulness, and worship. Whether you are a teenager, young adult, husband, father, or simply seeking to grow spiritually, this event is designed to encourage brotherhood, discipleship, and Christ-centered leadership.
The conference will take place at The Gathering Burgaw, located at 607 S Walker Street in Burgaw, NC. Main sessions run from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with an optional early morning workout and breakfast beginning at 7:00 AM.
Come ready to grow, be challenged, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other men pursuing Christ together.

Camp Caraway 2026

This is an extraordinary experience for young kids to travel about 4 hours away and spend the week living in cabins, playing with friends, praising Jesus and learning more about who God created them to be.

Camp Longridge 2026
Camp Longridge Ignite 2026! We want to help our teens spark new levels of faith in Christ this summer, which is why camp theme 2026 is IGNITE. And of course, we're going to have a blast in the midst of it all! Camp Longridge is a week long summer camp in Ridgeway, SC.

Gathering Women Bridge Walk
Ladies, let's take a walk. Come enjoy the beauty of Surf City with a view from the bridge. Meet in Soundside Park at 9:00am. First we will stretch and loosen up those muscles, then we will walk the bridge, as fast or as slow as you wish. Then plan on staying for a light brunch in the park. There will be lots of fellowship and a little exercise. If it's raining, event will be cancelled.

NEW! Men’s Alliance
The Men’s Alliance is a new men’s Connect Group at The Gathering. This Men’s Alliance Tribe is committed to sharpening men to become husbands, fathers, and leaders.
Gatherings will consist of a 30 minute work-out followed by a 30 minute real-world devotional around a fire. This group will meet each Thursday at the fire pit behind The Gathering office.
