National Day of Prayer
The Gathering, alongside Faith Harbor UMC, Chapel Bay Church, and Renovation Church will join the community in prayer for our community, nation, and world.

Gathering Women Art Class
It’s time once again to get your creative juices flowing.
This decorative door hanger will meet all your patriotic needs. Get ready to celebrate Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or all summer long with this cute Americana-inspired wooden craft. Hang it on your door, your wall, or tuck it into any other red, white, and blue display.
The class will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 to 12:00 OR 1:00 to 3:00, in the Fellowship Hall, cost is $5, and you must register ahead of time for your time slot. Class limited to 20.

VBS Kick Off!
This year's VBS, Emerald Crossing: An Irish Adventure through Psalm 23, will take place in "Flocks" (small groups or your family) all around the area! Please register your family so you have all the materials "ewe" need to shepherd your family throughout June.
We will gather as a whole church flock on May 27th for a Kick Off where you will receive everything you need to complete VBS. We will also go through Day 1 of VBS this night and have a themed family dinner! Your registration for VBS confirms your attendance for Kick Off.
During the whole month of June you and your flock, will gather together and learn all about our Good Shepherd, Psalm 23, and sheep! June 28th we will gather once more to celebrate our Good Shepherd and all He has done!

Men's Volunteer Work Retreat
Deadline to sign up: May 15th
Registration Required. Limited to 22 Spots.
Men's Volunteer Weekend Retreat at Camp Caraway. This is a hands-on opportunity to serve, connect, and improve the camp through meaningful outdoor and facility projects.
Camp Caraway provides free, lodging, meals, and a meeting space.
Friday May 29 - Sunday May 31
Possible Projects:
Sawing and splitting firewood
Installing handholds on a horizontal climbing wall
Resetting wiffle ball home plate and pitching rubber
Pressure Washing
Additional projects may be added based on volunteer skills available.

Camp Longridge 2026
Camp Longridge Ignite 2026! We want to help our teens spark new levels of faith in Christ this summer, which is why camp theme 2026 is IGNITE. And of course, we're going to have a blast in the midst of it all! Camp Longridge is a week long summer camp in Ridgeway, SC.

Camp Caraway 2026

This is an extraordinary experience for young kids to travel about 4 hours away and spend the week living in cabins, playing with friends, praising Jesus and learning more about who God created them to be.

Gathering Women Breakfast

Easter Sunday
Two opportunities for Easter Sunday worship!
First, let's gather for a time of worship at sunrise (6:30 a.m.) on Easter Sunday!
Meet on the beach at Surf City Beach Access #13. Bring something to sit on.
Then, at 10:00 a.m., Worship in the Park!
Bring something to sit on and gather in Soundside Park at 10:00 a.m.
There will be worship, a message, coffee!, food trucks, and fun for the kids.
If you have a Surf City parking pass, please use the town parking spots. There will be a park ‘n ride shuttle from The Gathering parking lot to the park beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Men's Carry Your Cross Walk
In the Spirit of Matthew 16:24, come walk with us as we carry our homemade crosses from the parking lot of Faith Harbor UMC across the bridge and back.
Prayer and Devotion 9:30am.
Walk 10:00am.
Come walk with us as a symbol to show how we should take up our cross daily.

Gathering Women Beach Walk + Bagels
Ready to take a walk? On the beach? With a friend? That is what we are going to do on Saturday, March 21. We will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00am and, once we are all there, head over to the beach for a quick walk or a leisurely stroll. The choice is yours. After we are tuckered out, or just done, we will march back to the Fellowship Hall to enjoy some bagels, with all the toppings.

If you have volunteered in the Gathering Body in 2025, you are invited! Doors will open at 5:45PM and the meal will begin at 6:15. Pre-registration is required.
Annual Family Meeting + Celebration
The celebration will be immediately following the volunteer dinner at 7:00PM. Please come and hear everything the Lord has done this year. The budget for 2026 will be presented, discussed, and voted on.
There will not be a regular Wednesday meal, Children’s Ministry, Youth classes, or other regularly scheduled classes.
